Wednesday, 17 January 2024 marked the stunning launch of the second annual “Pride on the Promenade” by the Partnership for Global LGBTIQ+ Equality (PGLE) during the World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland.

This event saw the iconic Davos Promenade lit up in a vibrant rainbow, thanks to the collaborative efforts of global leaders, including Accenture, Amazon, Axios, Bloomberg, Cisco, Citi, Deloitte, EY, Google, IBM, Meta, Microsoft, Salesforce, SAP, and many more. Their support sends a powerful message of unity and acceptance for the LGBTIQ+ community worldwide.

The initiative, organized by Accenture, GLAAD and PGLE, celebrates the progress of LGBTIQ+ human rights and serves as a call to action for necessary advances in global LGBTIQ+ acceptance and equality. PGLE is a project of BSR, the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the World Economic Forum.

Leaders from China, Kenya, and Uganda joined hands with GLAAD, HRC, and PGLE to raise awareness about crucial global LGBTIQ+ issues. The rainbow light-up was accompanied by a reception hosted at the Circle HQ, featuring insightful discussions by prominent figures advocating for equality.

"Pride on the Promenade is a moving visual representation of the strength of the continued LGBTQ+ community support from businesses and an inspiring call to action at Davos for additional business leaders to join us," said Human Rights Campaign President Kelley Robinson.
