LGBTIQ+ Inclusivity at 2023 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting
The Partnership for Global LGBTIQ+ Equality (PGLE) is pleased to announce the following events taking place at the 2023 World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. PGLE is an initiative of BSR, UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the World Economic Forum, and through this partnership, we support the development of panels and sessions that focus on the role of the private sector in promoting LGBTIQ+ inclusivity on this global platform.
Official WEF Panel: Beyond the Rainbow: Advancing LGBTQ Rights
Recent changes in law and the expansion of LGBTQ rights in a number of countries mark positive progress. What lessons from these success stories can be applied in other contexts? This event will take place on Thursday, January 19 from 13:15-14:00 at the Congress Centre, and will be live streamed.
WEF Affiliate Session on LGBTQ Equality: “Coming Out as a Public LGBTQ Corporate Ally,” hosted by GLAAD/Accenture/Edelman/Open for Business/PGLE
During the event, an overview of the status of LGBTQ equality around the world will be presented followed by new research and best practices for how and why global business should address LGBTQ issues internally and externally. A panel discussion and keynotes will be featured. The event will take place on Thursday, January 19 from 10:45-11:45 CET at the Ice Village, Dome E, and will be live streamed.
